Employees at a Pennsylvania Lowe’s store discovered a surprising surprise while retrieving a pallet high above the ground.

They heard faint mewing and found seven kittens from two different litters perched atop the boxes.

The Downingtown store immediately contacted Lucky Dawg Rescue to ensure the tiny travelers were brought down safely.

Shelter representative Lisa Newton arrived with carriers to help coordinate the high-altitude rescue mission.

Newton shared her surprise at the unusual location during an interview about the event.

“They had to get the forklift and go up and get them. One of the litters, you could tell that’s where the mom had delivered them.”

Store staff believe two local stray cats chose the quiet garden center rafters as a secure nursery for their young.

The shelter plans to return to help the mother cats next through a trap and neuter program.

Quick Smiles:

  • The kittens have been playfully named after their rescue location, including Forklift, Pallet, and Rose.
  • All seven feline friends are now safe and will soon be looking for their forever homes.
  • The garden center moms are being monitored to ensure they receive medical care and support as well.

These resilient little ones are currently thriving in foster care as they prepare for a much more grounded life.

Their adventurous start has ended with a warm bed and a bright future ahead.
