When Molly the magpie was rescued by Juliette and her partner Reece, Peggy the pit bull was apprehensive and couldn’t go anywhere near her.

The two stayed in the same room but kept their distance for days.

Finally, one day, Juliette saw them snuggling together.

Peggy and Molly had somehow formed a close friendship! They soon became inseparable, spending every day and every activity together.

They observed that Peggy has been behaving like a mom toward Molly. Soon, the motherly dog even produced milk! Thinking she was pregnant, they took her to the vet and found that Peggy was experiencing a “phantom pregnancy,” a phenomenon that happens when dogs care for another creature.

Juliette says that Molly considers Peggy as her mom even though she’s a dog, and Peggy thinks Molly is her daughter despite her being a bird!
