Police Dog Lightens Up Train Station With His Happy Reaction To A Gift [Video]

• The Great Hall of Chicago Union Station witnessed the pure joy of a police dog receiving a toy.
• A passenger saw how the other passengers waiting for their trains looked at the scene instead of their phones and witnessed the holiday cheer.
• The cute dog’s happiness reminded people to appreciate every little thing and bring on the spirit of Christmas.

With the world engulfed in dark days, people have been struggling to get the extra holiday cheer.  Some have maintained the spirit but a lot of us have been jaded with our everyday battles.

Then comes an unlikely being that reminds us what the holidays are about.

Chicago Union Station’s Great Hall has a towering Christmas tree with all the sparkly and bright Christmas ornaments and decorations.  But it was eclipsed by the pure joy of a police K9 in glee over a toy given by its handler.

While waiting for her train, passenger Caitlin Springer chanced upon the scene and said, “The dog was jumping around with a toy he had just gotten from the officer. Everyone started laughing and smiling and got off their phones to enjoy the cuteness. It seemed like there was a shared joy throughout everyone in the room watching the dog.”

And it took one of the station’s cutest employees to show the humans the true spirit of the holidays.

Springer said that it was so fun to see the serious, bomb-sniffing police dog jumping with joy at the gift while his handler’s laughter echoed around the halls. “Seeing this dog and feeling the shared joy was so, so uplifting,” she added.
