The summer heat has certainly led people and animals to find ways to cool off. And one Labrador Retriever pup has shown TikTok viewers on a new way to beat the heat.

Cocoa has laid claim to her cool spot— the refrigerator!

In cocoathesingletonlab’s video that has already gained 200,000 views and hundreds of comments, Cocoa makes her way to the bottom of the fridge where a drawer was previously located and flops down for a nap.

A voice can be heard saying, “Oh what, getting in this time?” and then laughter followed by “That’s new!”

Although the refrigerator is not an ideal place for dogs, Cocoa is just trying to find a way not to overheat. To cool down, dogs pant and release heat through their nose and paw pads. They do not sweat through their skin like humans do.

That is why when Cocoa is told that she cannot remain in the fridge, she just flutters her puppy dog eyes and shuts out her mom.

And this is not the only time that Cocoa takes refuge from the heat in the refrigerator.  In a follow-up video, she has already adopted the habit of taking naps there.
