Dylan, a white rescue dog, had a tough beginning in Romania before being saved by the UK’s Animal Rescue Charity in Bishops Stortford. Now, he’s experiencing the joys of a loving family and even trying steak for the first time!

His new life is documented on his very own TikTok account, @dogcalleddylan. One video, showing Dylan trying steak for the first time, has brought smiles to over 188,000 viewers.

In the clip, Dylan lies on his bed, seemingly shaking with excitement as his owner presents him with the delicious treat. The on-screen text reads: “Dylan, this is called steak. This is where life gets really really good.”

Dylan, now 10 years old, has visible scars from the “unthinkable cruelty” he endured as a puppy. Thankfully, he’s now living the dream with a family who loves him and has even introduced him to cheese.

Unfortunately, Dylan’s story is not unique. Millions of pets are surrendered to shelters each year, and many face euthanasia. To combat this, shelters promote adoption campaigns, spaying and neutering programs, and behavior rehabilitation.

The viral video of Dylan trying steak has received over 6,600 comments, with many users expressing their love and support for the rescued pup.
