Runaway Dog Becomes A Woman’s Assistant In Their Building’s Laundry Room

• Bianca Nachmani was looking forward to being alone in their building’s laundry room so she could choose a machine when she discovered a dog hanging out there.
• The dog, Apollo, managed to break away from their apartment near the laundry room and Bianca decided to have Apollo assist him but he ended up causing trouble instead.
• Apollo’s mom called out for him after she discovered he was gone and met with Nachmani who updated her on what happened with her and Apollo.

While his mom went to have a shower, Apollo the dog managed to sneak out of their apartment and went inside the laundry room near their unit.

Their neighbor, Bianca Nachmani, was on her way to the laundry room and was hoping she would be alone so she would have a pick of the machines. But as she went near, she heard some rustling from the room.  She thought that one of her neighbors must have the same idea as hers.  So, she went inside.

And there was Apollo exploring the room, checking it out and hanging among the machines.  He welcomed Bianca with much excitement.

Bianca recalled, “At first, I didn’t know if he had come from an apartment down the hall that wasn’t visible but maybe had a door open, or if maybe he had managed to get on the elevator from another floor without his owner.”

Apollo did not waste time answering her unspoken questions as she led her to their apartment.  Nachmani did not bring him inside their apartment as she thought the dog might sneak out again. They both went back to the laundry room and that’s when Bianca made Apollo his laundry assistant.

And what an assistant he turned out to be— jumping on the machines, crawling behind and under the machines, even upending the trash can and most of all, trying to steal her wallet! But she was not letting him go. Bianca said, “I was ready to hang out with him as long as I needed to make sure he was safe and situated.”

Around 15 minutes later, Apollo’s mom realized he was missing. She called for him and Apollo ran to greet her, showing no shame for the trouble he made. His mom was surprised to see him with a friend.

Bianca said, “I just told her that Apollo was hysterical and that I had kept an eye on him in the laundry room.” Bianca added, “She laughed and was obviously a bit shocked that so much had transpired while she was in the shower.”

Bianca was glad she had a laundry buddy that day who kept her from being alone.

Meanwhile, that was the first and last of Apollo’s day as a laundry assistant.
