For A Small Miami Café, 2021 Is Off To A Good Start With A Large Tip!

Take the case of Miami Squeeze café and juice bar in North Miami Beach.

A regular customer left a tip of $2,021! At first, they thought it was $20.21 but then they were shocked to realize that it was indeed $2,021.

The bill amounted to just $71.84. But then she wrote $2,021 on the tip, which is a 2,814% tip.

Since she was a regular customer, no one was expecting the huge tip.

To confirm that the customer really did leave the large tip, they went to her and asked, ‘Are you sure?’ and she said, ‘Yes, of course, I’m so grateful for you guys and I want to give back … I want to start the new year out right and give this to you guys.”

The gift means so much to the staff and its owner as, like a lot of businesses in 2020, the 30-year-old Miami Squeeze had to let go of much of the staff. It was just the family and a few staff who are working the counters and filling orders.

Kelly Amar, who owns the small restaurant, said that the tip will be distributed among all the 25 staff members.

Grateful for the tip, they posted a photo of the bill on Miami Squeeze’s Instagram account.

The post’s caption read: “We can’t even begin to express how thankful and humble we are for our amazing customers who have kept us in business. Even though we are just a small juice bar we really pride ourselves in taking care of our guests, we’re not just in the food business we’re in the people business.”
