  • When Remy the Labrador retriever had back surgery, her owner made her a cart so she can still go on “walks.”
  • As she was approaching her final days, her owner made sure to keep her happy.
  • In one recently shared video, Remy can be seen happily barking as she rides her cart, escorted by her owner and Lab siblings.

Remy the Labrador retriever crossed the rainbow bridge at 13 years old back in 2018. She had a full, happy life, and her owner made sure they made the most of her last days. In one recently shared video, Remy can be seen going on a “final walk” as her owner and Lab siblings pull her cart.

In the video, Remy can be seen chilling on her dog bed, placed on top of a wheeled cart.

The cart is then pulled by her owner in front of her, while her siblings escort her from each side.

“Never give up on your dog,” the video caption read. “There are things we can do to help them on their journey.”

The footage also had a heartbreaking text overlay that read, “They said I should put my dog to sleep.”

“I said no,” the text overlay continued. “I will do whatever it takes to keep her happy.”

The background song, Lukas Graham’s “Love Someone”, made the scene even more emotional.

But while viewers may have teared up already, Remy was just happily riding along in her cart, giving out excited barks every now and then. She was truly happy.

Remy’s owner said they made the cart especially for her after she had back surgery.

Several viewers offered condolences, words of encouragement, and their own stories of loss.

One viewer agreed with the sentiment of Remy’s owner, writing, “They deserve all the love until the end.”

Loss is devastating and affects us in different ways. Keeping them happy and comfortable in their final days is one of the best ways we can honor them.

Rest in peace, sweet Remy. You will always be treasured.
