Nova is a 4-month-old adorable little puppy who is promising to become a great watchdog. You see, not even scary dreams can get her.

One night, Nova woke up suddenly at around one in the morning to find out a mysterious trespasser had taken over her bed. Just like a brave guard dog, she sprung up to action which alerted her owner, Taylor Eubanks.

“I was half asleep when I heard the barking,” Taylor told The Dodo. “She doesn’t normally bark, so I checked live surveillance from my phone and saw her staring something down and circling it. I figured it was either a bug or maybe even a snake to give her this much of a spook.”

Concerned, Taylor rushed to check on Nova to see what made the little pup so worked up and she was sure it must be something very scary.

“When I turned on the lights, there, lifeless on the ground, was a wad of yarn,” Taylor said. “Nova, herself, pulled it off her blanket that day. I couldn’t help but laugh.”

Even after finding out what the “monster” actually was, Nova still stayed alert!

“She continued to circle it, but braver now that I had arrived,” Taylor added. “She even booped it with her nose a few times, but still proceeded with the utmost caution.”

So then Taylor finally decided to step in and eliminate the enemy.

“I took the yarn monster out of her pen to prevent another ‘situation,’” she said. “Things were quiet the rest of the night. Crisis averted. Suspect now in the trash can.”

Once again, the house is safe and quiet. But chances are, this won’t be the last time Nova has to fight some “monsters” and intruders—but for sure Taylor will be there for her.

“I forgot how much work it was to have a puppy,” she said. “But it has been 100 percent worth it.”
