When Frank Ozimek reached his final hours after battling cancer, his last wish was to show gratitude to the nursing staff who cared for him. His brother Ken searched desperately for a restaurant open on Easter Sunday to provide a meal for the hardworking team.

Tommy Milani, owner of Sub Delicious in Lockport, immediately stepped up to help by putting his own holiday plans on hold. He prepared and delivered fresh pizzas for the entire hospice staff to honor Frank’s final request.

“I said, ‘Absolutely, whatever you need, Ken,’” Milani told local news outlets.

“They do an amazing job there. They’re all saints.”

Ken was deeply moved by the gesture during such a difficult time for his family. He believes this act of generosity serves as a beautiful reminder of the impact small kindnesses can have on a community.

“To me, it means the world to see that kindness, that greatness spread,” Ken shared.
