This Sun-Loving Puppy Has a Talent for Finding the Perfect Napping Spot

Published

  • Nellie, a 3-month-old mini dachshund, seems to have a sixth sense for finding the perfect napping spot.
  • She always finds the spot where the sun shines the brightest.
  • She would then adjust to different sleeping positions to comfortably nap in that spot — no dog bed required.

Puppies are well known to play hard and sleep hard — and little Nellie is not an exception.

Nellie does have a special talent, however. She always finds the perfect napping spot.

Nellie’s dad, Freddy Masters, describes her to The Dodo: “She’s teething so she’s a gorgeous, sleepy, sun-loving puppy half the time. And a land shark the other half.”

That would be her perfect napping spot. She wouldn’t even need a dog bed.

Freddy shares, “She lies in any spot of sun that she finds. The other day there was a patch of sun on the wall, and I caught her resting her head up against the wall.”

Freddy recalls, “I was on a work Zoom call when I saw her lying perfectly in that spot. I had to carefully pretend to still be listening while capturing it. It only lined up like that for about five minutes so I’m glad I acted fast!”

Nellie surely knows how to make the most of sleep and sunlight!
