Luke’s family has known him to be a troublemaking dog ever since the day he arrived home.
He just likes to explore — chewing and carrying almost anything that appeals to him.
One day, his family went home to him bobbing around with a pumpkin head!

Luke has been a troublemaking dog ever since his family first brought him home several months ago.

His mom, Becca Ann Hoerner, told The Dodo that “he was dragging a pipe wrench twice his size in the yard” the first day he came home!

Luke seems to love chewing on or carrying everything around — from plastic, metal, ceramic, brick, and even concrete!

“I swear he knows that he shouldn’t have and goes straight for it,” his mom said.

His family has since gotten used to his antics, but he still manages to surprise them every now and then.

Recently, Luke’s family went out to shop for Canadian Thanksgiving. They figured they would only be gone for around 15 minutes, so they thought the dogs would be fine at home.

But Luke still got into some trouble sometime during those 15 minutes.

Becca recalled, “We pulled up to the house and my husband ran the bags in, but quickly ran back out of the house in hysterical laughter. He yelled for me to come into the house and the only information he would give me is ‘You gotta see this.’”
“I was immediately worried until I got to the door and Luke was there to greet me with a massive bobbly pumpkin stuck on his head!”

Luke’s mom suspects that the naughty dog seized the opportunity to chew on the pumpkin decoration the minute they left.

They eventually managed to free Luke from his pumpkin head.

“Once we got the thing off his head, he behaved pretty well the same way as when it was on. He was just excited to see us home and gave us a few ‘thank you’ kisses for saving his fuzzy butt from the evil pumpkin!”, Becca shared.
