Meet Luci the cat and Waffles the sheep. The sweet and fluffy pair may seem like unlikely friends, but they are actually a match made in heaven!

Luci, a 1 year old American shorthair cat, and Waffles, a 3 year old Tunis mix sheep, live in a so-called “personal petting zoo” at the Memphis, Tennessee, home of McKenna Ray and her husband, Payton.

McKenna told Daily Paws, “We have two horses, one cow, one sheep, two goats, three ducks, one cat, and three dogs! Each and everyone is so spoiled.”

Waffles had lost her sister, Maple, in 2020, while Luci was rescued later that year. It wasn’t long before the two overcame their loneliness with each other’s help.

McKenna shared, “Both girls lost their family but were able to make a new one through us. They’ve been inseparable ever since.”

When footage of Luci and Waffles snuggling each other during a nap went viral, McKenna wasn’t all too surprised that two got along so well.

She shared, “They’re best friends. They eat and play together, so it only makes sense that they would nap together, too.”

Just watching the snuggling pair is so relaxing! Waffles seem perfectly content sitting in her stall, while Luci hugged her, nuzzled her, and eventually made biscuits into her wooly coat.

It looked like Luci was massaging Waffles all while nuzzling her with the most adorable of love bunts.

Luci and Waffles’ friendship is truly special!
