Security Guard Who Biked 3 Miles To Return Lost Wallet To Owner Received A Car For His Kindness [Video]

- A security guard in Hawaii found a wallet and was determined to return it to its owner.
- Aina Townsend did not have a car so he biked 3 miles to hand-deliver the wallet to owner Chloe Marino.
- Inspired by Aina’s honesty and selflessness, Chloe’s husband and his business partner set up a GoFundMe campaign to buy the guard a new car in return for his good deed.
Returning a lost item to a stranger may be remarkable. But having to go 3 miles on a bike to return it, would be more than impressive. The best would be not expecting anything in return for the good deed. But this time, a reward was given to someone worthy of it.
When security guard Aina Townsend of Maui, Hawaii, found a wallet at the grocery store where he works, he set out to return the wallet to its owner. As he did not have a car, he got on his bike and pedaled 3 miles to where the owner lives.
In the midst of loading her car with her baby and her groceries, Chloe Marino completely forgot about her wallet. She was thankful to Aina for hand delivering it to her. Chloe’s husband Gray is all praises for the thoughtfulness of Aina as he took to Facebook to tell the world of Aina’s good deed.
As Gray explained, “He literally rode his bicycle to return her wallet. Completely full of everything important to her including cash. Nothing was so much as moved. Words cannot do this gentleman justice. He truly is what is right on our island and in this world.”

You know how it is with social media. It wasn’t long until the post went viral. Which gave Gray’s business partner, Greg Gaudet, an idea to raise funds to buy a new car for Aina through a GoFundMe page.
After 2 weeks, the page already raised over $25,000! This would be enough to buy a 2017 VW Jetta including insurance and 12 months of gas!

And for someone who thinks that it was a natural thing to do and not expect something in return, Aina was completely surprised by the gift!
Aina said, “I lost stuff before too. I would greatly want someone to come forward and do the same if I lost something.”
Aina could well be a fitting example of humility and kindness— one that deserves a reward.
Thank you, Aina!
