  • Remi was completely skin and bones when she was found in an attic of an old house.
  • The poor pup had been through a lot, but she was still so full of love that her rescuer can’t help but keep her.
  • Just a few weeks later, Remi has settled in quite nicely with her new family.

Last month, a cleaning crew was doing their work on an abandoned house in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, when they noticed that a dog had been locked up in the attic.

One of them called her sister-in-law, Jami Lassell, to ask for help.

Jami quickly responded even before learning that the poor dog was “completely skin and bones.”

The young pit bull named Remi had desperately tried to free herself, judging from the chew marks on the walls and door. The room was littered with fleas and feces.

Despite the hardships Remi went through, she welcomed her rescuers warmly.

Jami shared, “She is the most loving dog I’ve ever met. As soon as she saw me, her tail started going — she just wanted love.”

Jami made sure to give Remi much-needed meals and flea baths before taking her to the vet. She learned that Remi had a broken leg and may need surgery.

Jami’s initial plan was to nurse Remi back to health until she’s ready to be adopted. But Jami quickly fell for the lovable pup that she couldn’t give her up anymore.

Pretty girl is very talkative, took her to go get a bath tonight, & a new bed ???? gonna fatten her right up!❤️Posted by Jami Lassell on Friday, October 8, 2021

Remi has endured many pains, but she’s still full of love for everyone.

“Any time she sees someone, her tail goes and her ears perk up,” Jami shared.

Remi is also good with kids. Jami has four young children, and Remi would let them play with her. She was so patient with them!

It has only been a few weeks since Remi arrived, but she’s already BFFs with her 9-month-old pittie brother.

“We go on walks all the time, they sleep together at night and sleep in bed with me,” Jami shared.

Remi has been through a lot, but she still had a lot of love to give. Her new family is now making sure that she gets all the love back and more!

Jami’s home may have already seemed full with four young kids, two cats, and two dogs, but Jami said that Remi made their family feel complete.
