  • A woman was driving home one day when she spotted something bizarre on a tree.
  • Next to a sign that read, “Our dogs climb trees, they are fine,” she spotted a dog high up in the tree!
  • It turns out that the dog really knows how to climb up and down the trees.

Leah Saunders Goldstein was driving near her Florida home when something bizarre caught her attention: a strange sign was hung up in the tree.

“Our dogs climb trees, they are fine,” the sign read in big block letters.

She was initially confused by the sign, but what she saw next gave her the context she needed.

“I was reading the sign and then, before I knew it, a dog was there too. I was totally shocked,” she recounted.

An arboreal Chihuahua was chilling high up in the tree, right next to the sign!

It turns out that the little dog, named Daisy, lives in the house on that corner of the neighborhood.

She was adopted last year by Lisa Levine and her family, who soon discovered her affinity for climbing trees.

Daisy’s family soon grew used to watching her scale the trees with ease. She seemed to love it up there, where she can watch over the world beyond.

Passersby, however, naturally thought it an unusual sight. Most were concerned for the dog’s safety and thought she was stuck.

Soon, people kept knocking on their door to inform them that their dog was high up in the tree.

Lisa shared, “I thanked them for their concern and assured them she was fine. They looked at me like I was insane.”

Sometimes, people would even crowd under the tree and call the emergency hotline for help!

But Daisy has no trouble climbing up and down the tree at all.

A family friend decided to make the sign to help assure passersby, but it only piqued some people’s curiosity.

“Now, [when Daisy isn’t in the tree,] people ask us to let her out so they can see her. She’s the sweetest little thing ever,” Lisa shared.

When Leah learned about Daisy’s tree-climbing ways, she was delighted.

She said, “We feel much safer with Daisy on watch!”
