In the charming city of York, England, a delightful twist to a holiday mishap unfolded when a Michelin-starred chef’s Christmas pies went missing. Chef Tommy Banks, renowned for his culinary prowess since 2013, was set to showcase 2,500 pies at the celebrated St. Nicolas Fair.

However, the festive anticipation turned sour when the van carrying these delectable treats was stolen, leaving the pies to spoil.

Enter Joshie Harris, an 11-year-old boy with autism who communicates through an iPad. As he read about the incident with his father, Joshie’s empathy was sparked.

“I see sad man, pies finished,” he wrote, signaling his understanding and desire to help.

“Joshie doesn’t speak but cooking and baking is his way of showing creativity,” explained Dan Harris, Joshie’s father.

“He wanted to show especially at Christmas that these kinds of things shouldn’t be happening.”

With a determined spirit, Joshie began baking a variety of pies, focusing on his favorite—apple pie. His kitchen became a hub of creativity and compassion, with the family coordinating to ensure the pies reached Chef Banks.
