A frightened feline’s reaction to a nearby Great Dane has captured the hearts of internet users, and it’s clear that she’s not a fan of the massive dog.

The North Oakville Animal Hospital shared the amusing scene on TikTok (@northoakvilleah), featuring their “clinic cat,” Puddle, who found refuge in a sink as the towering Great Dane strolled by.

The video’s caption humorously notes that Puddle “does not appreciate the fact that one of our doctors decided to bring her horse in to work.”

Peeking cautiously over the sink’s edge, Puddle kept a close watch on her gigantic adversary. Meanwhile, the Great Dane paid no attention to the tiny cat.

The clip has since mesmerized viewers, amassing over 12.1 million views and more than 2.7 million likes on TikTok within days.

Standing up to 32 inches tall at the shoulder, Great Danes can understandably be intimidating—especially to a petite cat like Puddle. Male Great Danes can weigh up to 175 pounds, yet despite their size, they are known for being remarkably gentle and affectionate.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) describes these dogs as affectionate with family, good with other dogs, and great with children. They are attentive guardians but also enjoy relaxing, sometimes even attempting to curl up on laps, unaware of their large size.

Puddle is no stranger to social media fame, as the veterinary hospital frequently shares her escapades on TikTok.

In response to a comment on the viral video, the hospital explained that Puddle was rescued as a kitten and now “lives at the clinic 24/7.” She enjoys “free roam” of the clinic during the day and sleeps in her own room at night, complete with a bed and plenty of toys.

Puddle certainly enjoys a comfortable life at the North Oakville Animal Hospital—except when she encounters the Great Dane, whom she is decidedly “not a fan” of.
