One hundred years ago, the world welcomed Paul Bocuse, a brilliant chef who forever changed the future of French gastronomy. His innovative approach to nouvelle cuisine highlighted the freshest ingredients and lighter dishes, inspiring generations of chefs.

Bocuse achieved remarkable honors, winning Michelin’s coveted three-star award for 55 consecutive years at l’Auberge du Pont de Collonges and having the renowned Bocuse d’Or culinary award named in his honor.

He remained deeply connected to his roots, passing away in 2018 in the very place where he was born, above his legendary restaurant.

Today is also National Foundation Day in Japan, commemorating the mythical accession of Emperor Jimmu and the establishment of the nation’s earliest centralized state. This celebration weaves together cultural traditions, vibrant parades, and a sense of unity for people across the country.
