A delightful duo of Irish terriers from Australia has taken the internet by storm with their adorable display of affection.

Caught on camera cuddling each other in bed, these charming canines have won over the hearts of many.

The TikTok video, shared by their owner under the username @rubyandhenry, showcases the two dogs sharing a cozy embrace as they nap together.

“They love each other, but still bicker like siblings they are classic Irish terriers; cheeky and stubborn and fiery! So entertaining!” shared Kaitlin Rees, their 32-year-old owner from Gold Coast.

Kaitlin, a photographer who often works from home, enjoys spending ample time with her furry companions, 3-year-old Henry and 7-month-old Ruby.

Though they are “technically cousins” from the same breeder, their bond is as strong as any sibling relationship.

But do dogs truly recognize family ties? According to certified dog trainer and canine behaviorist Tamsin de la Harpe, science hasn’t yet provided a clear answer.

Some dogs appear to remember their siblings, while others do not, largely depending on the time spent together before separation.

Even those who remember their littermates may not always get along, much like human siblings.

When raised together, canine siblings may develop “littermate syndrome,” which can manifest as either rivalry or an unhealthy attachment, potentially leading to separation anxiety.
