Two-year-old Maisy and her three-year-old brother Levi, who was born deaf, reside in North Carolina with their owner Sierra Justus.

The unique way Maisy wakes up Levi has touched millions of hearts online.

In a TikTok video posted by @leviandmaisy, which has garnered over 14 million views, Maisy can be seen jumping onto the couch and gently nudging Levi with her nose to wake him up.

Levi, overjoyed, springs to his feet and wags his tail in delight as he greets his returning family.

“Maisy has always been close with Levi, but toward the end of 2022, we began to see that she was paying more attention to what he did and didn’t do,” Justus explained.

“She became very motherly to him even though she’s younger. She’s a mama bear.”

Despite the family’s efforts to support Levi in their daily lives, Maisy’s nurturing behavior emerged naturally.

“She’s started doing everything she does all on her own,” Justus added.

“I’ve always loved creating content and sharing Levi and Maisy’s story because they’re so special, but this reaction has been incredible. I’m beyond thankful and very emotional these past few days.”
