A dog’s reaction to feeling a baby move in his pregnant owner’s stomach has gone viral online, with more than 26.2 million views.

In the footage, which was posted to TikTok by an account called Meggysuemalouf, we can see a pit bull terrier leaning on a pregnant woman’s bare stomach.

The animal’s eyes are slowly closing as he appears to be falling asleep, but after a few seconds they suddenly open wide and his ears poke up due to the fact he has felt the fetus move.

Meggysuemalouf captioned the adorable video, writing: “When you feel your tiny human bestie kick for the first time.

The heartwarming video has gained lots of traction online since it was posted on September 9, with more than 7.6 million likes.

The video has also attracted over 65,900 people to the comments section to share their opinion on the sweet scene.

One TikTok user, Toast, wrote: “You can just tell he is already in love with this baby.”

Another person, DecoGlam, added: “I fully believe dogs can smell babies in utero and even hear their movement. My dog seemed to already know each one of my babies when they were born.”

It’s Just Sam typed: “This reminds me of the pittie mix I grew up with, Rascal. My mom used to tell me stories of how he would sleep with his head on her belly while she was pregnant with me.”
