Frances Dahlke had always dreamed of flying, but wanted her grandson Alex to earn his pilot’s license first. That heartfelt wish came true when Alex took her on her very first plane trip, making the moment even more special for their family.

On February 9, Frances excitedly boarded a flight from La Crosse Regional Airport to Chicago, with Alex making sure every detail was perfect.

“The sensation, you know, and of course watching the clouds out if there are any out there,” she shared.

Her family helped her prepare, even suggesting she try Dramamine for the first time, which Frances found amusing.

“It’s very, very nice. I felt like a spoiled celebrity. I had the first seat in uh, first class,” Frances said.

This flight was a milestone, not just for Frances, but also for Alex, marking a cherished family memory.
