Morgan and Bode Miller lost their precious daughter unexpectedly in 2018 following a backyard drowning accident. On June 10, 2026, Morgan honored the late Emeline with a series of heartfelt Instagram stories.

The toddler passed away at just 19 months after drowning in a neighbor’s pool. Morgan and Bode miss their daughter terribly, but they’ve chosen to focus on helping other families learn the importance of water safety rather than dwell on that which they cannot change.

During a May 2026 appearance on Today, Morgan explained that she and Bode have a rule in their house.

“If you can crawl, you must be able to float. If you can walk, you must be able to swim.”

Morgan Miller Will Never Forget Her Daughter

Morgan Miller uses her daughter’s death to help others, but she’ll never forget that fateful day. On June 11, she posted a series of photos and videos along with what she believes AI would say of the woman in those photos.

Morgan very eloquently wrapped it up in one sentence.

“She was a woman who lost more than most people ever should, but never stopped searching for beauty, meaning, love, and adventure in the life she had left.”

Many praised the mother of six for her honesty and dedication to helping others.

“You’re inspiring. You are moving ahead and enjoying your life and family and paying it forward with your mission. As a mother, I cannot even fathom what you all went through and how you will carry that grief forever. But it’s also nice to see that you are honoring your daughter by being the best version of you. And I love to see your big family while so many think having two dogs is having ‘children,’” a follower wrote.

This fan agreed writing, “This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever read such an inspiration!!!”

Morgan and Bode’s dedication to turning their tragedy into a mission of hope and safety has touched countless hearts. Their commitment to protecting other families while honoring Emeline’s memory is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of love.
