Jason Momoa Goes from Reel Superhero to Real Superhero for Cancer Warrior [Video]

• Danny Sheehan’s favorite superhero is Aquaman, whom he draws strength from during his cancer treatment.
• After a viral video of Danny receiving an Aquaman gift caught Jason Momoa’s attention, he decided to video call Danny.
• Momoa suggested a dolphin ride together to ecstatic Danny Sheehan.

There seems to be no end to Jason Momoa’s sweetness. The Aquaman star has yet again surprised a fan with an adorable video call.

His fan is 7-year-old cancer warrior Danny Sheehan of Boston Massachusetts.

Danny was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer: Pineoblastoma. He is fighting the cancer with chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and a stem cell transplant. Through it all, he draws strength and inspiration from his favorite superhero, Aquaman.

Looking at Danny’s contagious, ever-present smile and joy, you would not think he’s struggling with the disease. When photographer Corey Taylor surprised him with a special present in a photoshoot last November, Danny had the most adorable meltdown. There, wrapped in paper, was his favorite Marvel action figure, Aquaman!

He freaked out and cried, “Oh my gosh, my favorite one. Aquaman!”

Everything was captured on video.

The video went viral and Aquaman himself saw the adorable video. And he could not help but grin at Danny’s pure joy. The kind star could not help but find ways to talk to Danny.

Aquaman then surprised Danny with a video call through FaceTime and the two had a great time talking.

A ride with the dolphins together was even suggested by Momoa, which made the call even sweeter for the warrior boy Danny. It was the stuff that he has been dreaming off and his superhero fulfilled his wish.

Danny’s mom Natalie could not help but gush over the incident in her Facebook post: “Thank you for making this call and for making Danny the happiest little boy ever — he can’t wait to ride dolphins with #AQUAMAN. And a huge thank-you to everyone who shared D’s video and made the seemingly impossible of him meeting his superhero hero totally possible!”

Momoa really knows how to show his love for his superfans like Danny.  Thank you, Aquaman!
