A 15-year-old boy who went missing during a dangerous snowstorm in Maryland was found safe thanks to the teamwork of police officers, multiple agencies, and a dedicated K-9 unit.

Authorities launched an urgent search after the teen was discovered missing, following clues through snow and ice while facing life-threatening weather.

“There is a tendency for people who suffer from autism to want to find a body of water,” said Bel Air police chief Charles Moore.

Senior Trooper Taylor Bracken and his bloodhound K-9 Margo tracked the boy through wooded areas, leading the team to his location about a mile from home.

Bodycam video recorded the emotional rescue, with the teen responding simply, “Cold,” when found.

He was reunited with loved ones and taken for a medical check as a precaution, as neighbors and officials commended the swift and resourceful response by everyone involved.

The rescue was described as a result of teamwork and specialized training coming together at a critical moment.
