Servers at various restaurants got huge tips from groups of customers who wanted to give them something special for the holiday season.

1. Rachel Barney from Cracker Barrel, San Antonio got a $1,300 tip.

Kevin Nies and his wife have an annual tradition called “Christmas Tip the Waitress,” during which they break fast with a group of friends and “change someone’s life for a day.”

More than 20 people showed up this year and tipped a total of $1,300 on a $270 bill. Their waitress, Rachel, is “a single mother of 2 teenagers with no family in Texas,” Kevin shared.

They hope that by sharing it on social media, it will inspire more people to do the same.
