  • A touching video showed how a woman’s 17-year-old dog tried hard to welcome her home after she lost her dad.
  • The dog, Rounder, made his way to his mom amid a walking difficulty just to comfort her.
  • Dogs like Rounder instinctively know when their humans need extra love and affection.

Being welcomed home by wagging tails, barking, and zoomies from our pets gives so much comfort after a tiring day. But for a 17-year-old dog to make that walk just to be near you is a sight that simply tugs at your heart.

When @theambynewell lost her father, she had to be away for a week from her dogs. Tired, brokenhearted, and just needing rest, she was comforted by the warm welcome that she received from her dogs when she went home.

Her 17-year-old pup Rounder stood out as he painstakingly made his way to her. From the video that she posted, one can see how it took much effort for the dog to be with her. But he had a doggone determination to be with her mom.

Aside from giving us so much joy, our beloved pets also instinctively know when we need an extra hug or attention. This welcome was certainly what his mom needed.

Rounder and your other pups love you, @theambynewell. They are showing you that with their attention and devotion, you will pull through this broken heart. After all, grieving and healing can be bearable when you have company and loyal friends with you.
