Two little blue penguins had to be removed not once, but twice by police after they returned to a sushi bar to grab some fresh fish.

The penguin outlaws were discovered around 6:30 a.m. hiding under the shop, Sushi Bi in New Zealand. The Wellington police had to detain them for a few hours before releasing them back into the wild.

But these penguins were determined to get sushi so they returned to Sushi B later that evening. The waddling duo crossed four lanes of busy traffic to get to the sushi bar. According to TV New Zealand, the partners-in-crime may also have made their way to the sushi truck by waddling along freshwater pipes.

No one’s gonna stop them the second time. Or so they thought.

The penguins couldn’t keep quiet. A shop worker, Wini Morris, discovered them after hearing a “cooing, humming sound”. The two were found hiding under the sushi bar, near the grills.

“It’s pretty insane the idea that some penguins are camping out under your shop,” Wini told Radio New Zealand. “But it’s adorable I think ― they’re probably terrified but it’s adorable.”

For the second time that day, The Department of Conservation was called to get the penguins. They were released at a safe nesting area near the waterfront, according to Radio New Zealand.
