Sweet Dog Boops Deaf And Blind Friend’s Nose to Signal the Start of their Adventure [Video]

  • Sweet Jimmy has become a faithful best friend to Tamale, who was born deaf and blind.
  • After meeting at the dog park over a year ago, it has become their tradition to meet up regularly and hang out.
  • Jimmy has learned to boop Tamale’s nose to let him know that he’s there to start their adventure.

Tamale was born deaf and blind, but that doesn’t stop him from living his life fully. He receives all the love and attention he needs from his family, who adopted him from Speak for the Unspoken dog rescue when he was just 4 months old. The outgoing and friendly pup also has his best friend, Jimmy, to boop his nose to signal the start of their regular adventures.

Tamale’s disabilities don’t really affect him much, aside from the occasional running into things. His mom, Kayleigh Otstot, said that most people don’t even realize that he’s deaf and blind, because he’s “a completely normal dog.”

Tamale met his BFF Jimmy over a year ago at the dog park.

Kayleigh and Jimmy’s mom, Melinda, have since planned to meet often at the dog park or take the pair out for walks together.

The BFFs “see each other at least once a week, if not more,” Kayleigh shared.

Their friendship has since blossomed into something beautiful and unique.

Jimmy also seems to have sensed that Tamale’s a bit different, so he offers his support whenever he can. The two now have the sweetest routine!

Every time they’re scheduled to meet, Tamale would wait in the car. Jimmy then runs over and boops Tamale’s nose to let him know that he’s arrived! It’s the cutest signal to the start of their adventure.

Jimmy boops Tamale’s nose every time!

“Tamale always jumps out of the car, and the two immediately start to play,” Kayleigh shared.

The sweet Jimmy has found a loving way to get his best friend’s attention, and it just goes to show how much he cares.
