  • Fiesta was originally inspired by the bright colors seen during a family trip to California.
  • The brand is celebrating its 90th anniversary with the launch of a brand-new lavender color.
  • Each handcrafted piece undergoes careful hand-inspection and smoothing before it is fired in the kiln.

Since 1936, Fiesta has brightened American homes with its vibrant and cheerful mix-and-match dinnerware. Born during the Depression era to bring joy to tables, the brand now produces over 3 million handcrafted pieces annually.

The company maintains deep family roots with fourth and fifth-generation owners overseeing the traditional manufacturing process in West Virginia. Each piece takes approximately 36 hours to create, moving from liquid raw materials to hand-inspected clay before receiving its signature glossy finish.

Design director David Neer notes that American dinnerware was traditionally colorless until Fiesta introduced its fun, casual pieces for daily use. This legacy of innovation continues as the factory preserves timeless methods while embracing fresh hues for a new generation of collectors.

“Our mission has always been to bring joy to the dinner table,” says president and CEO Liz McIlvain.

Whether through nostalgic Americana designs or the new spring-inspired collections, these iconic dishes continue to make kitchens feel fresh and inviting. The tradition of colorful storytelling remains at the heart of every plate and bowl made in their historic factory.
