Beloved Retailer’s Comeback Will Make You Believe in Second Chances

Quick Smiles:
- Bed Bath & Beyond is making a triumphant return with 22 new stores opening nationwide
- The beloved retailer is joining forces with The Container Store to create a one-stop home shopping destination
- Customers can finally shop for bedding, storage, and custom organization solutions all under one roof
Less than three years after shuttering more than 360 locations, Bed Bath & Beyond is back and better than ever. After acquiring the Container Store in 2024, the company moved forward with plans to create a super retailer that combines the best of both stores.
According to a news release, the company will open 22 new Bed Bath & Beyond + The Container Store locations in the next several weeks to bring customers exactly what they love about both beloved brands.
“Our customers don’t think about their homes in categories,” Marcus Lemonis, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc., shared.
“For decades, customers have had to visit multiple retailers, websites, and service providers to complete a single home project. One company for bedding, another for storage, another for closets, another for installation. That model no longer works. We believe the future belongs to businesses that solve complete customer problems. By bringing Bed Bath & Beyond and The Container Store together, we’re creating a destination where customers can buy products, organize their spaces, design custom solutions, and access services all under one roof.”
