Bonded Shelter Dogs Finally Find Forever Family after 347 Days

  • Donna and Karan, two bonded pups, have been waiting several months at the shelter to get adopted.
  • Many families were not capable of adopting them together, and the pups were too shy to stand out.
  • Finally, after 347 days of waiting, the perfect family came and took them home to join their two new canine siblings!

Donna, 4, and Karan, 5, were transferred from another shelter to the Licking County Humane Society in Ohio last year. The shelter staff instantly knew that the mixed-breed pups were bonded — which means that it’s best if they were adopted into the same home.

While it’s sweet to know that the two pups always have each other, it’s difficult to get two dogs adopted at the same time. Not many families are capable of it.

Donna and Karan are also shy, which often gets them overlooked by potential adopters. They’re also a bit skittish, so they would need a quiet home with a fence, without small children or rowdy pets.

Still, the shelter knows that the pair are quite lovable, so they showcased them on Facebook.

They wrote, “They are on the shy side … [but] once they hang out for a bit with you they become the most affectionate and playful duo! They will truly make your home such a happy one.”

According to the shelter, the besties love running around the yard chasing each other or playing fetch. They also love snuggles and kisses.

Sure, it’s chilly, but nothing a couple coats ???? and some ball in the play yard can’t fix according to Donna & Karan. ???? This bonded pair is STILL waiting to find a fur-ever home. ❤️ But as you can tell, they’re really coming out of their shell here at #LCHSpets. Do you have a fenced yard and a quiet home for these gals?? ???? If so, fill out a questionnaire at www.lchspets.org If not, please SHARE!!!Posted by Licking County Humane Society on Saturday, January 23, 2021
