In a viral TikTok clip shared by @sydfelz, the mischievous feline is seen comfortably perched on a freshly baked graham cracker pie crust resting on the counter.

As soon as his owner scolds him, he darts off, leaving a trail of pie crumbs in his wake and showing no signs of regret for ruining the dessert.

Thankfully, the cat saw the pie crust as a cozy bed rather than a tasty treat.

Experts note that while sugar isn’t poisonous for cats, it’s not healthy either and should be avoided.

“Like in humans, sugar can cause diseases such as diabetes and obesity when ingested in large quantities, which can be life-threatening for a feline,” they explain.

Interestingly, cats don’t have a sweet tooth and can’t taste sugary foods. Their tongues are different from ours, lacking the ability to detect sweetness.
