Chrysler is taking swift action to address a battery concern in select Jeep plug-in hybrid vehicles, focused on ensuring customer safety. The recall involves over 320,000 Jeep Wranglers and Grand Cherokees manufactured from 2020 to 2026, with owners being encouraged to park away from structures and not charge their vehicles for now, according to U.S. traffic safety regulators.

Interim notification letters will begin mailing to affected owners by December 2, 2025, with final remedies to follow once determined. The batteries in question were made by Samsung SDI America, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Vehicles included in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov starting November 6, 2025. Affected customers can also reach Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 for more details, and previously recalled vehicles will require this new remedy for extra peace of mind.
