  • Hunter Kahn is 20-year-old college student from Cornwell University, Minnesota.
  • He started investing in 2009, and recently earned almost $30,000 from GameStop stocks.
  • Hunter donated some of his earnings to the Children’s Minnesota Hospital, which included Nintendo Switches and games.

Earn with a purpose — this is perhaps the mantra of Hunter Kahn, a generous young lad from Minnesota, who made sure his earnings will serve a higher, more meaningful purpose.

After earning nearly $30,000 from GameStop, the 20-year-old college student donated some Nintendo Switch consoles to sick kids in a children’s hospital.

Hunter had investments in GameStop, which is considered to be one of the largest video game retailers in the world.

When GameStop stocks went up to more than 1,600% last month following the sudden inflation in membership, it was an upturn to Hunter’s shared assets as well.

Hunter has been a dedicated member of the Reddit group r/WallStreetBets since 2019, the time he started investing.

With the incredible returns he made from his GameStop stock, Hunter made sure to pay it forward and do some good in the world. He decided then to make some kids from the Children’s Minnesota Hospital as happy as he is.

In his Instagram account, Hunter expressed his generosity and how he deeply wanted to return the favor.

“As a beneficiary of the recent events on Wall Street I think it is important that myself and others pay forward our good fortune,” he wrote.

“These events have highlighted a lot of corruption and with this transfer of power it is important that we don’t become men in suits ourselves. I am proud to announce my humble donation of 6 Nintendo Switches and games to go with them to the Children’s Minnesota Hospital. Can’t Stop. Won’t Stop.”

Hunter’s donations amounted to $2,000.

The beneficiaries from the hospital couldn’t be any happier with what Hunter gave them. According to the hospital crew, the kids have been playing with the Switch, somehow easing their burdens a bit.

Hunter also shared how it has blessed his heart to hear parents and other children going through the same, inspired by his story.

“I wanted my donations to be GameStop purchases since that is how this all started and there is no better group of people to receive a bunch of Switches than a bunch of kids going through a hard time,” he told the hospital.

Hunter, true to his name, is in the hunt for his next possible investment.

For him, the most gratifying thing is not just gaining lucrative stock returns but more so uplifting other people’s lives even with small, simple ways.
