Lionel Richie gave fans quite a fright in St. Paul, Minnesota, on June 24 when a sudden dizzy spell caused him to exit the stage and ultimately leave the venue in an ambulance. He canceled his next two tour stops, leaving fans concerned about his future as a performer.

On June 30, he took the stage in Pittsburgh and gave fans a heck of a show. Right off the bat, Lionel Richie let everyone know just how he felt.

A fan video posted on social media shows a happy, healthy-looking Lionel.

“I had you worried there for a minute, huh?”

Lionel Richie went on to make his fans laugh with stories that had everyone grinning.

“I want you to know, not only did I scare you’re a– to death, I scared my a– to death as well. You have no idea what I have been through in the last 24 hours, listening to my friends tell me their advice on what I should be doing.”

Then, Lionel laughed and told the crowd how much wonderful advice he’s gotten since the incident.

“Now, let me just give you a few examples of the torture that I have been through. A friend of mine called me up and said, ‘Lionel, when you turn 80, things happen differently.’ I’m not 80! That’s the first problem.”

Lionel and the crowd continued laughing as he shared even more words of wisdom.

“The second thing: the lady texts me on the phone and says, ‘My husband bought me a scooter, and you can ride around the stage on a scooter.’”

“And then, there’s folks calling me up on the phone saying, ‘One dose. One finger of castor oil right behind the ear. Do you understand what I have been through?”

“So, tonight, I’m trying to forget everything that happened. And remember one thing: I ain’t going nowhere!”

You heard it straight from Lionel Richie: he’s not going anywhere. Fans left the Pittsburgh show with happy tears and grateful hearts, knowing their beloved performer is healthy, smiling, and ready to keep bringing joy to audiences everywhere.
