Quick Smiles:

  • A woman with advanced cancer wished for Christmas cards and received hundreds from all over.
  • The generous response included gifts, holiday experiences, and heartfelt messages.
  • Clare plans to donate collected postage stamps to a cancer charity.

Clare Jones from Swansea reached out on Facebook, asking for Christmas cards as she faces terminal bowel cancer. The mother of three, who cherishes simple joys, was amazed as hundreds of cards and gifts poured in from strangers.

“There has just been so much to read,” Jones shared. “The love has been amazing… genuine love.”

Clare’s heartfelt request sparked support far and wide, with supporters sending show tickets, chocolates, and even offers of experiences like a complimentary flight and Reiki session.

The flood of cards became a project in itself, as Clare plans to mail collected stamps to a UK cancer charity to help raise funds.

“I don’t feel ill, I feel okay. But I’m not going to feel this way for much longer,” she said. “I have many people around me who care for me. If love could cure cancer, I would be cured.”

This moving story highlights the kindness that connects the world during the holiday season. Small gestures can make a meaningful difference when embraced by a caring community.

Share a little kindness this holiday—your thoughtful act could mean the world to someone in need.
