  • Fluffy dog Reese loves being around her big cat sister, Skittles, so she decided to tag along on a trip outside one day.
  • Their mom was surprised that the cat carrier was a lot heavier than usual, not knowing both of them were inside.
  • Reese thought she managed to sneak into an adventure, but it ended up being a trip to the vet!

Little Reese has always been a fan of her big cat sister, Skittles. Reese just loves being around her big sister all the time that it sometimes annoys the 15-year-old cat. She would even tag along in the cat carrier! The pair are very much like sisters who play fight often but also have their sweet moments.

One day, their family members were getting ready to take Skittles to the vet.

Their mom, Jamie-Lee Ball, was on the phone and in a rush to make it to the vet on time, so she asked her mom to put Skittles in the cat carrier. They made it to the vet in time without a hitch.

But when they arrived, Jamie-Lee was surprised at how heavy the cat carrier have become.

“I grabbed the kennel out of the back seat and really struggled to lift it,” she recalled. “I actually pulled my back a bit trying to lift it out and made a comment, ‘OMG! Did Skittles gain weight overnight?! Why is she so heavy?!’”

She then supposed that it may just be difficult to carry the carrier itself and thought nothing more of it.

When the vet tech mentioned something about bringing “everyone,” she thought that she was just referring to her mom.

It was only when they opened the carrier on the examination table that everything clicked.

Skittles had indeed been inside the carrier — but so was Reese!

Jamie-Lee shared, “We were in complete shock. We were all laughing at the thought of Reese and Skittles squished together for that whole car ride and how sweet Reese was that she wanted to tag along.”

“The vet and vet techs all said that was a first and they were excited to tell their families that night of the cute story,” she added.

Reese wanted to tag along so badly and thought she was off to a great adventure, only to be disappointed.

Jamie-Lee said, “Reese was absolutely mortified that her fun adventure outside of the house was to the vet. She started shaking and trembling immediately.”

She only calmed down when she realized it was her sister’s appointment and not hers, so she started to walk around and greet everyone.

Skittles looked annoyed, but her family could tell that she was actually happy to have Reese for company.

Jamie-Lee said, “I do honestly think that she did provide some level of comfort for her because she didn’t cry once during the visit,” like she normally would.
