Dylan Dreyer is enjoying every moment as her oldest son, Calvin, turns 9. She shared a loving note on Instagram, telling Calvin he brings her happiness every day.

“Oh sweet, sweet Calvin. Your beautiful heart and soul bring me joy every day and I’m so blessed to be your mom.”

Dylan and her husband Brian welcomed Calvin in December 2016, and soon expanded their family with two more sons, Oliver and Rusty.

Calvin was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2023, but Dylan praises how responsibly he follows his gluten-free diet. He always brings his own treats to join school celebrations so he never feels left out.

For his birthday, Calvin made a special request: a sports-themed cake featuring football, golf, hockey, and baseball. Dylan gladly embraced the challenge.

“Homemade birthday cakes have really become a thing,” Dylan shared on Instagram. “The kids put in a request and I try to figure out how to make it happen. Cal’s request this year: a sports cake with 4 sports. Football, golf, hockey and baseball.”

Dylan detailed her creative efforts on the TODAY show, explaining she was crafting marzipan baseballs and footballs for the cake.

“I’m making marzipan baseballs and footballs and all that,” Dylan told the TODAY cohosts.

Sheinelle Jones cheered, “You’re such an amazing mommy.”

“I love it,” Dreyer said, describing her homemade cakes as her favorite hobby three times a year.
