At 99 years young, Helga Duffy has officially become the world’s oldest wing-walker, earning the Guinness World Record title and proving that the spirit of adventure never retires. The record was awarded this week after she soared through the skies strapped to the top of a small plane at Rendcomb Airfield.

Staff at her assisted-living facility first encouraged Helga to try the thrilling feat after her niece witnessed another elderly woman complete a similar flight just three months earlier. Inspired by the story, Helga decided it was her turn to chase the clouds.

Family and friends gathered at the airfield to cheer her on, their hearts bursting with pride as the plane lifted off with Helga waving from above.
