Most dogs love to be by their owner’s side all day, but some take it to the next level. Goldendoodles, a mix of golden retriever and poodle, are famously known as “Velcro dogs” for their clingy nature.

One goldendoodle, in particular, has taken this trait to new heights. In a TikTok video posted by @risse.redmond on July 31, a woman is seen working out in her garage. However, her goldendoodle has “insane FOMO [fear of missing out]” and couldn’t bear to be separated, even by a single room.

Fortunately, the door from the garage to the house had a tiny cat flap left by the previous owners. The dog saw this as his golden opportunity to keep an eye on his human. Although he couldn’t fit his entire body through the small door, he made it work.

As the owner lifts her weights, the video shows the dog’s head poking through the door. The steps below the door served as a convenient headrest, giving him a front-row seat to all the action.

Part of the video’s caption reads:
“…my goldendoodle uses it as his own personal portal to the outside world.”

While dogs with FOMO can make it hard for owners to get a moment of peace, there’s a bright side. Such dogs are incredibly loyal and always ready to keep an eye on their humans. In this case, the goldendoodle was just making sure his owner was safe during her workout.
