  • Earlier this week, a stray dog appeared at a vet clinic, asking help for his injured paw.
  • Dcotor Dayse Ferreira immediately attended to the dog.
  • The dog has fully recovered and has even received a lot of adoption offers!

How this stray dog knew where to ask treatment from is still a mystery.

Earlier this week, a homeless dog made an unexpected visit to Dayse Ferreira’s veterinary clinic in Brazil.

The dog was limping and having a hard time walking due to his injury. Upon noticing, Dayse right away approached him and welcomed him in.

“When he came in, he put the injured paw forward, as if to say hello and to show that he was hurting,” the vet told The Dodo. “We were surprised because he knew where to ask for help.”

Dayse and her colleagues were amazed with how the poor dog sought help himself, and immediately put his guard down as soon as he got inside the clinic — as if feeling safe and relieved that he got to where he needed to be.

The doctor quickly examined the dog and found that the injury in his paw wasn’t too serious, but he must have been led to the clinic for a greater purpose. Dayse discovered that aside from being covered in fleas, the pup also had a small tumor. Fortunately, they were treatable.

The doctor said that the once-alone-and-homeless dog has fully recovered and looks far different from the state he was in when she first met him.

Fate has started to give the dog a good twist. Besides getting the medication he needed, he was also tidied up, and has soon received a lot of adoption offers.

“The most admirable thing is that he came on his own. His intelligence is beautiful,” Dayse said. “I’m sure he will find a home that will welcome him and receive him with all the love he deserves.”

Just when he needed hope the most, the quick-witted dog found it right at the doorstep of that clinic — and that moment has changed his life forever.
