Beatles fans make pilgrimages to Liverpool every year to walk the streets where the legendary band began. The four young men who formed the group in 1960 could never have imagined how their music would unite generations across the globe.

On a recent Magical Mystery Bus tour, passengers received the surprise of a lifetime when Paul McCartney pulled up beside them in traffic. Even more special, he was chatting on FaceTime with his longtime bandmate Ringo Starr.

Tour guide Neal Morton described the scene as “positively surreal.” He noticed Sir Paul through the window and watched in amazement as the rock icon waved to the delighted passengers.

“I had pulled up at the traffic lights on Hope Street when who should I see – Sir Paul with Ringo on Facetime,” he said. “He waved to us, and everybody took photos. The passengers could not believe it.”

Ringo Starr later shared the joyful moment on Instagram, writing, “How about that for a Magical Mystery Tour in Liverpool? Peace and Love, Ringo.”

Fans flooded social media with messages of gratitude and nostalgia. “Both of these men must be protected at all costs. We cannot lose any more Beatles,” one admirer wrote.

Another person who was on the tour added, “I was there yesterday! Can’t believe I saw him.”

One hopeful fan suggested a future reunion: “Next time, get Paul and yourself together and we will record The Magical Mystery Tour part II on the bus in 2026.”
