  • Malik Willis, a National Football League Quarterback prospect, was seen helping a homeless woman outside the site of the NFL event.
  • Malik explained that he didn’t have money so he gave the woman a couple of clothes.
  • Analysts believe that Malik will be selected in the first round of the NLF draft.

Malik Willis, an NFL quarterback prospect, is climbing up draft boards due to his talent and athleticism. However, the former Liberty University quarterback is receiving more attention for something he recently did outside the field.

A March 3 video posted by Twitter user Ryan Lacey shows Malik giving some items from his suitcase to a homeless woman outside the Indianapolis Convention Center, where the annual NFL event is being held.

In the post, which is now trending on Twitter, Lacey wrote, “Was having lunch yesterday and saw one of the Combine guys helping out someone on some hard times…@malikwillis being great even when nobody is watching. How can you not be a fan of this guy?”

During an NFL Network broadcast last week, Willis, an Atlanta native, explained his actions.

“I walked past her on the way to the Nike suite and I chopped it up with them and I walked out with a suitcase and whatnot. And I felt bad because I saw her son. It was a pregnant lady and she was homeless.”

Malik added that he gave the woman a couple of shirts because he didn’t have money and that he wasn’t aware that someone was watching him.

“I just felt like I had to do that,” he said. “I mean, I’m at a position right now where I’m not worried about much of anything except getting better. So, if I can help her out any way, I felt like I had to,” Willis concluded.

Malik is a three-star prep prospect. He started his college career at Auburn before transferring to Liberty University in Virginia in 2019.

He led the Flames to a 10-1 record and their first Top 25 ranking in 2020, throwing for 20 touchdowns and 2,260 yards while also running for 944 yards and 14 touchdowns during the 2020 season.

However, his performance dropped slightly last year.
