New York City is bringing the park back to Park Avenue in the most delightful way. The city unveiled a sweeping plan to turn eleven blocks of the famous street into a leafy, welcoming corridor once again.
Until the 1920s, Park Avenue actually had a park running through it. Now the city is restoring that original vision with fresh trees, comfortable benches, and a protected bike lane.
Mayor Mamdani and the NYC Department of Transportation are leading the charge. Their thoughtful redesign will give residents and visitors a calm, green path right in the middle of Manhattan.
