A family from Wisconsin was watching a holiday lights show when their family vehicle was stolen — while their pup was inside.

The Sotos were watching the lights display at Jellystone Park in Caledonia on Friday night, Dec. 17, when the incident happened.

According to Jamie Soto, her son went back to the car to grab something and forgot to remove the keys.

When it was time for them to come home, they were shocked that their car was nowhere to be found. But they were more concerned for their 10-month-old Boston terrier, Bruno.

“My dog is in the vehicle, with the car. I don’t care about the car, I care about my dog,” said Jamie, who offered a $4,000 reward for Bruno’s return.

A few days later, on Dec. 20, their green land Rover was spotted on the south side of Milwaukee, but Bruno was still missing.

It was only later that night when they received a phone call informing them that Bruno was found tied up at Kozi Park on the south side of Milwaukee.

The family found him at around 2 a.m. the next day.

Jamie said that Bruno is particularly special since he calms her son’s anxiety.

She said that he usually sleeps next to Bruno, and that the pair are the very best of friends.

“The night that it happened, he was up all night, he didn’t go to sleep at all,” she added.

Thankfully, the BFFs have been reunited, and just in time for Christmas.
