Stolen Dog Jumps into Dad’s Arms as they Reunite [Video]

• Aaron Morris stopped at a Dollar General store for a quick errand while his service dog Jolene waited in the car.
• When he came back, his car, along with Jolene and all his possessions, were gone.
• When they were finally reunited, Jolene was so happy that she jumped into her dad’s arms for a tight hug!

Having recently moved from Michigan to North Carolina, Aaron Morris stopped by at a Dollar General store on Friday. As it was only a quick errand, his service dog, Jolene, waited in their car.

Aaron had no idea that someone was following him.

After just a few minutes, he came back to find that his car was gone, along with Jolene and all his possessions.

He didn’t know what to do — they had been together for six years.

Aaron appealed on Facebook, “This was my guardian angel. My best friend. I told her everything. We did everything [together]. I need her back in my arms … This is destroying my heart.” 

Jolene had a tag that contained Aaron’s phone number, but his phone were among the stolen things.

As the days passed, a desperate Aaron didn’t even care about getting any of his stuff back. He only wanted to get Jolene back.

Meanwhile, in Tennessee, a Good Samaritan dropped off a brown Lab/pit bull mix at the Morristown Hamblen Humane Society. Jolene had been wandering the streets as a stray. But the shelter staff saw her pink collar and tag.

Since the phone number didn’t work, they posted a photo on Facebook, which eventually led to Jolene and Aaron’s reunion. Aaron shared a tearful video thanking everyone who helped them.

He quickly drove to the Tennessee shelter, where he was instantly tackled by an excited Jolene. She wagged her tail happily, gave him kisses, and jumped into his arms for a hug!

Aaron told Jolene, “I got you. And I’ll never let you go.”

Reunited, the pair can now start their new life together.
