Teen with One Arm Wows the World with his Basketball Talent [Video]

• Hansel Enmanuel lost his arm at 6 years old when he was trapped beneath a fallen wall for two hours.

Sixteen-year-old Hansel Enmanuel from the Dominican Republic is quickly becoming a rising star in basketball, and he does it all with just one arm.

Hansel grew up in Santo Domingo. At 6 years old, he was trapped beneath a fallen wall and was only rescued two long hours later. He tragically lost his arm as it had to be amputated.

Now, teenage Hansel has become a reliable part of his high school’s basketball team, with his talent recognized across the world.

Hansel chose to look past the accident. Instead of seeing it as a tragic loss, he viewed the whole experience as a life lesson from God. He was alive, after all.

The experience filled him with determination, which made his talent shine through.

His undeniable talent scored him a scholarship that brought him to the United States. Now, he plays basketball for Life Christian Academy in Kissimmee, Florida.

Hansel’s talent earned him a lot of fans, especially with the rise of social media. The online world was amazed as videos of his gameplay circulated and went viral.

He now has over 270,000 Instagram followers!

Hansel may be popular now, but he doesn’t let it get to his head. He still has the same goals as before, and that is to make his family proud by being the best athlete he can be.

He still attributes his success to God, writing on Instagram, “To be successful, it only takes two things, the favor and grace of God.”
