  • A Navy veteran reunited with his daughter thanks to support from a tiny home community.
  • The Veterans Community Project provided a family-friendly home and vital resources.
  • Tim’s recovery led to a new career and a stronger bond with his daughter.

When Tim, a U.S. Navy veteran, lost custody of his young daughter Majesty due to not having a permanent home, his journey to reunite with her became a story of resilience and hope.

Through his recovery and a connection at his treatment center, he moved into a family unit at the Veterans Community Project, finally providing a stable home for them both.

“Majesty loved the place,” he recalled. “She would run around dressed like princess Elsa. Everyone there doted on her.”

Over the next year and a half, Tim transformed his life, becoming a licensed drug counselor and drawing from his past to inspire others.

He now cherishes the simple joys of life with Majesty, who is thriving in school and sharing moments of creativity and love with her dad.

“She’s bright, she’s loving, she’s got a wonderful imagination,” said Tim.

Tim credits his new beginning at Veterans Community Project for making their reunited life possible, surrounded by support and community.
